“Inspired by the extensive heritage of the arts and theater in London, and the recent Hoxton Varieties Mosaic in London’s Hoxton neighborhood, we’ve recreated this iconic piece in different colorways perfect for the spring and summer months ahead. Pairing excellently with your summer linens, cottons, hopsack and light wool blends, these squares are a perfect addition to your sartorial collection this season.”

Struthers London and Little Halstock open a pop up studio for London Craft Week
Tuesday 3rd – Friday 7th May, 2016

Struthers London, the award-winning watchmaker, and Little Halstock, the leading British cabinetmaker, will be demonstrating their skills in a pop up studio at London Morgan at 3 Astwood Mews, London SW7 4DE, during London Craft Week from Tuesday 3rd to Friday 7th May, 2016.

Struthers London combines years of experience in vintage and antique watch restoration with award-winning design to offer the most bespoke service in British watchmaking. Founding husband and wife partnership, Craig Struthers – a master watchmaker – and Rebecca Struthers – an antiquarian horologist – are creating their first in-house movement while also using their skills to re-commission vintage and antique watch movements to create functional pieces of history. The pop-up studio will give visitors the opportunity to join the Struthers on a journey through nearly 300 years of watchmaking history; from eighteenth-century forgeries to the first English machine made watch movement.

Little Halstock applies the same high level of skill to bespoke jewellery boxes, humidors, ‘shot’ boxes and watch winder boxes as its parent company uses to create luxury kitchens, wine cellars, dressing rooms and other interiors in the country’s most exclusive homes. Luke Wycherley, the senior designer at Little Halstock, is able to take commissions for boxes of any size and any design. His skill at inlaying different coloured woods, metals and mother of pearl, for example, allows him to recreate anything from a coat of arms to a watch movement with astonishing accuracy. Master Finisher Mark Goodhall then gives each box a matt or gloss finish with acute attention to detail. Luke will be at the studio on Wednesday 4th May and will be happy to answer any questions about his work.
